I'm having problems with Dreamweaver MX 6.0 truncating files when I push them to the server. The files are not necessarily very large. Has anyone had the same problem? I have tried reloading Dreamweaver and it has not solved the problem. I am running Windows 2000 Professional.

My remote server is Local/Network

Thanks,
Glenda

In what way are the files truncated?

The last ## of lines are missing (where ## is anywhere from 1 to 100)

Sorry never come across that before and I have been using dw since version 1, but never say die I will have a look round and see if I can find anything about it.

(are you using dw's own ftp not another proggie? have you tried another ftp? If so does the same happen?)

Some additional information including the solution ...

1. I don't use FTP -- I use a local/network remote site
2. According to Macromedia this is a known problem with 6.0
3. ANNNDDDD after many minutes (more like hours) on the phone with Macromedia it ends up they have a fix (even though most of them don't know it yet).

Simply update to 6.1 (even though the site says the update is for MX with Contribute) which was released on the 5th of December (2002). The updater can be downloaded from Macromedias site and is free. It is available for both Mac and Windows.

Cheers Glenda,

even though I have not experienced this myself an update is always welcome.
