"Overflow" error when starting new db

Hey ppl.

I am really new to SQL and I have a bit of a problem. When I try to start a new db in access I select the SQL server and type the admin p/wrd and username. When I click next I get a error message saying Overflow.
Nothing else just Overflow?!

Can anyone help?

First, make sure you have Office 2000 SR-1. Second, download the Access 2000 and SQL Server 2000 Readiness Update.
