Hi everybody, I am running a macro that opens a query and then just exports the data to an already existing excel spreadsheet. My problem is that when I run the macro I get an error saying "The External Table isn't in the expected format." I don't understand this because the file just a regular Excel spreadsheet and is not a Read only. The other confusing thing is that if I export the table to a different spreadsheet it will work just fine. Has anyone ever had this problem or know what to do with this? If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Phil

Thanks Omega36 that website really helped me out a lot. You get a star for that one.

Thanks again,
Phil
