I am scratching my head. I have a win2k server with 15 xp workstations. I am running AD and I had a printer listed in active directory. I set up the printer on the workstations and all stations could print with not problems. They next day the workstations could not print. When I went to the printers box to check the printer the workstation would say that it was offline. I checked the printer and it was on line. I tried to print a test page from the server and I had no problems from the server. I tried to reinstall printer on workstations and it would come up and say that could not find the network path. I then removed one of the workstations from the domain and them tried to rejoin it to the domain. I come up with the following error message "netowrk path not found". My WINS server also the same error message when I try to initialize it. I can ping server via IP & name, and also domian name. I cannot get the workstation back on the domain. I have sp1 on xp's, and sp4 on server. Xp machines are xp pro. Ipconfig /all shows everything alright. DHCP is assigning everything DNS, WINS, IP. The only thing I can even think of is the SRV records. I am out of ideas.

p.s. One quick question (maybe a stupid one) does the Site name in the forward zone have to be the same as in AD, or DNS. Mine are not. One says wap.priv for the domain. The site name is WapCorporate. I am not sure.

I think that may be the problem. Mine are the same anyways. I think maybe the clients are trying to login to a non-existent domain, either the wap.priv or wapcorporate...

Can I just change the name of the site in "AD Sites and Domains" with a right click. Do I need to update anything else.
