Hi,

Has anyone heard of mono - a .net implementation for UNIX/Linux platform?

Has anyone attempted to install this onto Solaris?

Heard of it but not used it.

According to the site it brings .net to solaris.

There should be little difficulty as it already runs on several 'nix's such as Linux and MacOS X.

You will probably have to build from source though.

I have downloaded the sources, and there are various makefiles - I have not made a package of this complexity before without it already being 'packaged' for me.

Any hints or suggestions?
