I'd posted this in April and still wonder if it's possible so I thought I'd re-post it and see if anyone has any new information and/or whether it's anything that can be done in ReportSmith. As always: ThanX to all !

"We recently went to ADP Enterprise, Reportsmith 4.0 - SQL:

I need tips on how to extract date ranges. My example is a Medical Benefit effective 1/13/05 through 5/31/06. Using the effective dating options of this ReportSmith, I haven't been able to grab this person if I just want to know who had the benefit for a specific date range within that period, such as 8/1/05 through 8/31/05. I want a field or formula that captures them if they are "included" in my selected date range. Any ideas?

I appreciate any input.

So you want to include a record with an effective date between x and y. This would not need to be the current effective dated record?

Could you turn off effective dating for this table and have a starting and ending date report variables. See for info on how to do this for one table.

Would this do the trick?
