I want to receive "caller-id" into my Intuity Voicemail... Is there a particular hardware or Rev Level I need to be at??? I'm currently on G3V8i.04.0.046.5 with a R5.1 Intuity...

(Basically, instead of it saying "call received" it will say "call from extension 617-555-1212", for example)

Also if anyone knows, (I'm sure you do) how do I send Caller-Id off the PBX. I recently had a new T-1 (ISDN-PRI) installed and it works inbound, but outbound its only sending the area-code. I want to send all 10 digits, and I want to make it global (all extensions) & not have to admininster each ext. from the ISDN-Public-Unkown screen... any Ideas???

All Help is appreciated...

For VM, I am not sure you can do it.

For sending your station number, I assume you have DID number, since I did it long time ago, try on page 2 on trunk page use Sending Calling Number: y and Numbering format: Public.

change isdn public-unknown-numbering Page 1 of 8
ISDN NUMBERING - PUBLIC/UNKNOWN FORMAT

Ext Ext Trk CPN Total CPN Ext Ext Trk CPN Total CPN
Len Code Grp(s) Prefix Len Len Code Grp(s) Prefix Len

4 63 480461 10
4 64 480824 10
4 65 480824 10
4 36 480558 10
4 8245 480462 10

This might help with the outbound. 4=ext lenth 63=first two digits of ext 480461=area code and prefix 10=area code + prexfix + ext

One more thing. On extension (non DID) the number that shows up on caller ID boxes will be your MBT Main Billing Telephone number for that T-1.

Following is what if your CEO ask you not to show his DID number to the public. Your CEO has extension 3001. Just

Len Code Grp(s) Prefix Len Len Code Grp(s) Prefix Len

4 3001

You only program Ext Len=4 Ext Code=3001 and the right leave blank.

Happy Phoning!

The second page of your HUNT GROUP to Audix should look like this:

Message Center: audix

Calling Party Number to INTUITY AUDIX? y
LWC Reception: audix

First Announcement Extension: Delay (sec):

I believe there is a feature that must be activated on the Intuity. It is avaliable in the 5.1 version however. I have a 5.1 and it works on my system. I think it is what Avaya refers to as a green feature. Hope this helps

Thanks

Chris

Chris- you're right. It is a Green Feature from Avaya, and they're looking for $3k to turn it up... not a very attractive price for such a simple request... Oh well back to the drawing boards.

And BTW: The ISDN-PUB admin screen worked perfectly.. Thanks PhoneMan2

Thanks

I gotta say phoneman2, I'm impressed!, You know the Definity well.....
