"FUNCTION" Keyword Not recognized in SQL 7

I am trying to create a function in SQL 7 but the FUNCTION keyword does not turn blue and I get incorrect syntax near the word fumction when I try and compile my code.

Has anyone encountered this or an give any insight or ideas regarding this.

Functions are not supported in version 7.0. You need sql server 2000.
