I am and have been experiencing difficulties adding new ISDN station [or any other stations for that matter]. Running "list station" command in both GEDI and Emulation returns this: "Error encountered, can't complete request".

I thought this could possibly be due to a capacity issue but the system has plenty of free space left as shown by the Station and Trunk Table:
Used => 460, Available => 75, System Limit => 535.

Additionally and as suggested by a friend, I took the risky step of resetting the system last week and went as far as powering off the system at the mains and powering it on after a 5 minute interval but all to no avail.

I've been in touch with our support guys, but they seem as lost as I am. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you are trying this using ASA?? What model switch and version of software are you using? Is the ASA being done through dialup or IP connect?

You are indeed correct, I am using ASA R1.13.5U2.2 with an IP connection. Sorry for not having made this clear intially.

Best Regards
Dave

This message usually suggests translation corruption, Avaya should look into this and fix it...

Petran.

if you do a list history and see EECCR-10009 as a qualifier, it is corruption. You'll have to call Avaya to get fixed

Petran:It sure looks like a translation corruption but as I am a novice when it comes to telecoms in general, I thought it worthwhile to seek help from people like you.

Spookytooth, Guess what I found staring at me in the history list, yeah, that's right, EECCR-10009 dated 14th April 2006.
So it seems that I would have to get Avaya in for this one.

Thank you all very much.
