"Dos error"?

We have a report that we're having some trouble with, and I need to check some stuff out in it, but Crystal will not allow me to open it - I get a message that just says "Dos error", and then kicks me out of crystal. Has anyone encountered this before, and does anyone have any ideas about how to fix it? It will run from the app, but I can't open it with CR.

You mention CR 8, but are you also using Seagage Info? I have run into this error trying to open report objects with <right click>/Open method in a Seagate Info environment. Chris

Chris,

I don't think I'm using Seagate Info. It's just Crystal Reports 8.0.1.0 in the about. And, I'm just trying to double-click on the report and open it. I also tried opening crystal and then opening the report from in there, but still the same error.

Yes, I can open all reports without any problems except that one report. I tried opening that one with file-open, still got same error message. I posted this thread earlier because that was the only copy of that report I had access to. Since then I've been able to get another copy, which works fine. Maybe the report just got corrupted? I don't know, but we were able to work around the problem. Thank you for your help!
