"Delete" not working

I have a brand new PC, running Win XP and Office XP, in a network environment. When I open Outlook, and see a number of unwanted junk emails, I use Ctrl to highlight them, but the "Delete" key does not work. (I use the delete key in other ways and it does work, so it is not a bad keyboard.) Any ideas?

Think this is a problem with the Exchange server.

The fix is to run the Exchange Performance Optimizer (perfwiz.exe) on your system, you can find it in the Exchsvr directory on your server.

I now notice that I can't delete a single message using the delete key either. I will still run perfwiz to see if it corrects the problem.
