When i turn on my computer i receive a "Check Signal" message. Also, i cannot boot from any of my drives. Thank you.

I hate to say this...but, I have had a number of users have this same problem. The solution was to turn the computer ON. These users had everything on a power strip so they could turn the monitor\computer\printer with one button. Well what happens is that someone would use the machine and shut down the machine and switch it off at the computer as well as the power strip. Well user #2 shows up and turns on the power strip and the monitor powers up as well as the printer and they see the "no siginal" message and call me. Well after telling them to turn the computer on and having to explain the above to them everything worked fine. :)

This may be all that is wrong so check this first and get back to us if it is not and we (tek-tip members) will take it from there.

Good luck,
Chuck

your suggestion did not work. note carefully that the message that i receive is a "Check Signal" message, not "No Signal" message. thanks for your effort.

The message that is given will vary from monitor brand to monitor brand.

Ok, the next thing to check is the power supply. When you turn the machine on is the fan on the power supply running? If not check the power cord and make sure the switch on the power supply is set to 110 and not 220.

Let me know,
