Is it possible for Win9x clients to get time updates from a Win2k server running as an "Authoritative Time Server"? I know that with Novell it can be done, but what about 2000?

Thanks,

Joe Brouillette

Not 100% sure, try running NET TIME /SET and see what happens... Matt Wray

The "setsntp" command worked on the server, but when I tried the net time /set command but my Win95 machine couldn't see a time server. I just noticed that the Time Server is supposed to be a DC and I haven't DCPROMOed anything yet so I'll wait.

Also make sure you have WINS running on the server for the clients (9x)... Matt Wray

I run net time /set from a batch file log on with my win9x clients to set their time to the server when they log on--I also map any drives they need at the same time.
