when loging on to the pc with the Domain administrator account it freezes at the screen "Applying your personal settings"

Its a weird thing, it only happens when trying to log in using the Domain Administrator account.

We have tried:
Increasing the pagefile size.
deleting all profiles.
Leaving it overnight. 15hours

There is plenty of free space.

The odd thing is that it only happens on 1 account, It does not have roaming profiles....

we build these machines using a ghost image, once the image is on the computer we use the ghost SID changer to change the computer name, then we log in locally add the computer to the domain, restart, then try and log in, and it doesnt work

any ideas?

thanks :)

Oh and the other thing is we had 3 identical machines get the same image, go through the processes

then 1 works with the logon, and the other 2 don't

The symptoms shown are almost always a DNS problem. The only DNS entry should be the IP of the machine hosting the DNS server for the Domain. see faq779-4017

Thanks but i dont think its that

i tried to manually put in dns and it still does the same thing

and if it was that wouldnt it be for all accounts???? not just the domain admin.

anyways thanks for yor help

any more ideas?

could it have something to do with this?
