Hi,

Thanks for reading. If you've got any insights I'd very much appreciate them.

With mpeg videos I've downloaded from LimeWire and play in quicktime I get this problem that's hard to describe.

It'll be like a 30 minute show but when I open it I'll only get the first minute. If I wait until :58 and then drag the slider back to the beginning I'll all of a sudden be in the second minute of the show, and can watch it. If I again wait until 1:58 (when the slider is again almost at the end) and then drag the slider back, I can watch the third minute. It's like the whole video is there but stacked on top of itself somehow and not layed out in order.

Is there any shareware app I can download that will fix this problem? Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Hey Andrew,

My Quicktime Pro Player 6.0 (Apple Mac OS 10.3.8) does the exact same thing with downloaded files from Limewire. I think it only happens with MPEG files but I'm not sure.

Love to find out how to fix the problem.
