Ok here's the situation:

Server A - Contains 100mb of files. Can be remote controlled.
Server B - Needs Server A files. Can be remote controlled.
Workstation - Can "explore" and control both servers.

Is it faster to:

1)From the workstation, using windows explorer, copy the files from Server A to Server B

2)From the workstation control Server A and copy the files to Server B

3)From the workstation Control Server B and copy the files from Server A

I know this seems like an odd question but I can't find any documentation on this type of action. Everyone's input and reasoning would be appreciated. :)

Ignore the windows explorer and an intervening workstation completely. From either of the servers use XCOPY from the command line.

I haven't lost my mind - I know it's backed up on tape somewhere ....
