Can you have Sub's inside of Sub's? If you can ... are there any drawbacks to this coga ninja technique?

Thx

Jamie

Dammit!!!

Thx a lot buddy ... hey ... do you know what the consequences are if you have 2 sub-reports in a report. Does it take longer to generate the whole report?

Eager to hear your reply ...

Jamie

We have a ton of reports with multiple subs....I think the "largest" has approx 16 subs within it. Yes this CAN slow down retrivazl of the data, but as with any report it largely depends on the query parameters as well as number of joins and join types.

I have not noticed any particular performance degradation based on just the number of sub reports in one report.

Thx guys ... but ....

I have like 47 tables linked out of the mother of all Access DB's ... we'll see if it's slow ... i'll let ya know too ...

thx again

I am a betting man....

I wager that with 47 linked tables (without even knowing the type of link) on an Access DB it will be slow.

Oh well ... my boss says: "As long as it works" ...

We'll see if that's what i can get it to do. It's really strange though .. i have another related post that no one will reply to ... Check it out if you could ...

CR6 ===> CRW32 Crash??

...Please post a reply in this one ... even if you have no idea .. it will make me feel better if someone at least looks at it! Thx again ...
