Hoz thingz,
I have made a movie in Flash5, does this mean that the viewer/user must have the Flash5 player, or will they still be able to view it with a older version.
How can I test what player my movie needs.

Thanx guys.

That depends. If you don't use any functions in 5 that are also in version 4 you'll have no problems. For example, anything involving date, xml or advanced audio functions won't play on the flash 4 player. Otherwise, there MIGHT be no problems. Just have them get the flash 5 player.

hi inqbus

If you want to know which 'actions' will be problematic in older players do the following:

>>go to File>Publish_settings
>>click on the Flash tab
>>change the 'Version' at the bottom to an older version

Now just check you're actions in your movie and compare them to the actions given in the left-hand section of the actions window. Anything highlighted in yellow is not supported in the version you selected for publishing and must be exported as Flash 5.
