just out of college, so i'm completely clueless to real world applications. i was wondering if i developed tools for a website using c# under visual studio .net will the clientside require the installation of the .net framework on their computer? (hopefully this question makes sense)

many thanks in advance.

Welcome to Tek-Tips [cheers]

The .NET Runtime, and Yes, of course. That’s like asking, if you write a Windows program will the client need Windows installed to run it [wink]

There are .NET specific forums here at Tek-Tips, this one is not appropriate for your .NET questions like this one.
