We purchased a 2948G-L3 switch with the intension of subnetting - servers on 10.100.1.0 , departments on 10.100.2.0 - 10.100.10.0. due to cut-backs thier is currently no need or knowledge in the building to do this. I have been giving the task to set this up. To start we want to set it up flat - meaning all ports are on the same subnet we currently use (255.255.0.0) . What steps do I need to take so the device acts more like a hub -
I need to be able to connect my existing hubs into the 2948G-L3 and maintain a flat network. Then in the future connect the servers directly to the 2948-L3.

Is there a quick easy way to do this. I'm totally lost in Cisco's manual

Thanks

Just make sure everthing is in Vlan 1, and you're set to go...
