Got a few quick questions about entries in my BIOS and what they do / should be set at.

My system is Xeon 3.06MHZ, with HT, 1GB DDR RAM with an 8X AGP 256 DDR graphics card.

AGP Appature Size - what's this? I've got it set at 64MB as system default.

Monitor Tracking?

VGA Palette Snooping? This is set to disable.

Thanks for your help and advice in advance.

Usually you don't have to mess with those settings, especially if you aren't having a problem. Check the documentation in your motherboard manual. You can alsw enter these terms in a google search.

If you really want to mess with these, post in the hardware forum as bcastner suggests.

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.

Set it on 256. You should set it on the amount of RAM your card has.

*** You should set it on the amount of RAM your card has. ***
Could you eplain this theory?
