What is a good book to get up and running with SQL ?
I don't want to spend a fortune on a hit and miss sql library. I just want a great set of 1-3 books, from getting started learning SQL to a code reference manual. Any suggestions. (i posted this question here as it is the most active forum and my most favorite one to)

I used SAMS Teach Yourself SQL in 21 Days to learn. Easy read for the beginner
Lots of code examples

thanks maze.

i wanted a couple of good books to learn and reference sql as i have seen some fantastic examples of sql use on this forum that has beaten down some visual basic code from 20-30 lines to just 4-5 lines - needles to say i was impressed.

I was hoping for more input from the sql guru's out there but I guess they are to full of turkey and stuffing, I know I was.

thanks again Maze, i'll check out the bookstore tomorrow.
