I recently rebuilt my Exchange 2000 box. Prior to the rebuild this machine was a Domain Controller...it is no longer a Domain Controller...per recommendation from Microsoft. We did a disaster recovery setup so we retained almost...if not all the old settings. One of those settings was the recipient update service pointing to the exchange server as a DC. I want to change it to point to an active DC and I am wondering if this will cause any problems as I will not be able to switch it back since the exchange server is no longer a DC. The box seems to be working fine.....the only thing that is happening is there is an event being thrown because the RUS isn't pointing to an active DC.

Thanks for any help provided!

you should update both your Enterprise RUS (if applicable) and your Domain RUS.
