Question on X.25-please reply

Hi ,

i'm new to this forum ....can any one help or any related site please post it or reply .

1.There is no error detection mechanism (frame check sequence) in X.25.Isn't this needed to assure that all of the packets are delivered properly?

2.In X.25 ...why is the virtual circuit number used by one stattion of two communicating stations different from the virtual circuit number used by the other station?
after all it is the same full duplex virtual circuit....

please any onr reply for this ...
