I have about 8 websites and have been spending a lot of money on monthly hosting with hosting vendors (godaddy). I'd like to host my own sites at home. I'm running Windows XP Professional. Can someone tell me the best way to do this? Most of my sites are coded or will be coded in ASP.net.

Thanks

not with Windows XP that's for sure!

You can only have one site running on IIS5.1 with XP. You need a server version, either 2000 or 2003

see thread41-1230805 for some useful links.

Chris.

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Thanks Chris,
What would you recommend as for hardware..?

You can host multiple sites on your XP Pro machine if using Apache instead of IIS.
