Question on adding client to BU Exec 9

Hi All,
I have a question regarding BU Exec 9, can a 2k server that is logged on locally (but is a part of the domain) be added as a client in an existing routine. I ask because whenever I try I get an error that the object can't be found. I'm thinking it is because there is no admin share, but just wondered if anyone had seen or done this before.

You need to install a remote agent.
being logged on will not do much good.
