Hi John I still cant find the area to program an * to act as a pause with MM. I tried what you said yesterday but wasnt given an option 6. Please help if you can. Thank you so much.AJK

what i was thinking of was the pin separator and pin term, under the remote notification class of service, use the acod of the route if you need to bypass the account codes..

I dont know how. What I see is a blank column for ID and a blank column for Name. I am sorry I dont know more - wish I did! Please help and thank you very much - the person who needs this keeps calling!

What JP was saying is that in your dial string for the CL entry (whatever push-off is your CL) then rather than put 9+number you want to call, put the ACOD (or route access code) for the route you want the call to go out + the number. No leading 9. This will only work if your MM stations are not CLS CTD, however, because CTD blocks any direct-dialed number that has 0 or 1 as the first or second digit, if I remember correctly. The only other option would be to change your meridian mail stations to an NCOS that does not require an auth code. -Matt

or just take a maxp 1 acd and send that to the 9 plus number, call it from internal to test, then use that 4 digit number as the remote notify... the acod for the route works in my switch,,, your looking for a way to trick the switch, short of changing the ncos on acd sets that control voice mail

This may and does sound completely stupid but how do I find out what route and ACOD # ? Sorry for the ignorance and thank you both for helping.AJK

All I really need is to know how to configure an asterix to be a pause. Thank you AJK

I have found the routes and ACOD numbers but when I use the acod it does not work. As far as mm stations not being cls ctd they are but the menu I am using is not associated with a phone. Its only associated with an 800 number. I need to have this done for Dallas by noon tommorrow so I doing lots of reading. John, I do not know anything about maxp 1 acd. Could you elaborate if you dont mind. I cannot find the answers in the manuals or books. Thank you

I tried using an unused DN and make it an ACD then I put in ncfw 91xxx-xxx-xxxx. I also put in mapx 1. I put the 4 digits as CL in meridian mail. Still doesnt work. When I phone the number and press the option it says "the person at extension ACD is not in, however the voicemail is not set up at this time." Please help. Even though this is an ACD do I need to assign it to a tn? I dont know what else to try. I have worked on this "small" problem for hours.any help is appreciated.

where are you putting the acdn, as cl in a menu service? that works in my switch/mail.. from the main menu go to options 3 then 3 Restriction/Permission Lists,, that may be where you are getting blocked

I appreciate you help. Thank you for helping.

incidentally when I just dial the acd I still get the tone prompt to enter authorization code which is what I have really been trying to get around.Should I put another entry in the restriction permission list with "0" put in for restriction for (ie. long distance3 0)? If so how do I direct the acd to use that restriction rather than the other long distance restrictions that have 10 resitrictions each on them? Thank you for any help.AJK

do you have the codes coming from the switch?..if so build an ext that has a ncos 7, if that is above the frl of the route..

I put the number in the permissions, took 9 and 1 out of the restrictions and it still prompts me for tone. What codes do you mean? Thank you

are you using forced account codes in ld 88, or do you get the request for auth code from the provider.. reason being, if the co (provider) is forcing a code, you can't program around it... if you can't program around it, with a acod or ncos, then try sending it out a different route.. i send some ld calls out on back up analog trunks to bypass ld blocks that i built

Yes the auth codes are coming from the co.What a disappointment, so many hours. I did learn alot though. I am very thankful to you for your patience and ongoing responses. My first idea was to go to analog or 1-800 lines but my boss (not telecom) did not like the idea.At least I finished the race to the end! John, thank you so much for being there.AJK
