Question about the use of OIDs...

Hello,
can anybody be so kind to give me a hint regarding to the followning questions?

1) What is the meaning of the last value of an OID,
for instance, i use "ifInOctets" 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10
and i got results for ...1.10.1 and ...1.10.4. I
think .1 and .4 refer to the interfaces?? But how can i
find out (if this is true) which interface??
2) If i m looking for suitable OIDs i m confused about the
amount of info. The Problem: I made a list of CISCO-
OIDs, but some work, others dont.
Expl.:
1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10 (IfInOctets) works
1.3.6.1.2.1.7.4 (UDPDatagramnsOut) doesn t :-(
