We are upgrading from a G3SI to an S8710 here in about 3 weeks. Right now im mapping out 30 years of wiring mess and a bunch of old hardware etc. I have some questions about some of the boards in the switch that I have never worked with before.

TN763D Auxiliary Trunk - What exactly is this? It has some kind of box that is powered on the wall. Only one cable goes into it and it's whats punched down on the card. Is this like a failsafe board if I lost my trunks it kicks it over to 1FB's or something?

TN744D Call Classifier - ??? No clue what this is used for

TN771D Maintenance/Test - ?? No clue what this is used for

TN763D - Auxiliary Trunk Pack: Used to interface to Loudspeaker Paging, Music-on-Hold, or external announcement devices.

TN744D - Call Classifier: Provides 8 additional touch-tone receivers and call progress tone detectors.

TN771D - Maintenance/Test: Required for systems that are equipped with ISDN or ASAI software. Used for internal system testing.

Starting on page 131 of the attached link gives a circuit pack description.
