I have here a Nortel Option 11c with a remote site that has about 80 digital sets in place, it is connected back to the main office via 2 T1's. I need to move 40 of these sets to a new location and have already contacted a vendor about doing the work. I just had a few more questions about it that I knew would get answered here quickly. When disconnecting 1 of the above mentioned T1's, will it disrupt all service to the old location or is just 1 a rollover for the other?

depends on the config, go to load 21 do a ltm then return untill it gives you the list of trunk members.. if both t's are in the same route you can take either one down.. another test is load 60 stat... you'll see the two t's and the channel status.. if channel 24 on either or both is a dch, your t's are pri's (isdn t1)..little different config.. not the inband signal we used to use. if you have only 1 dch and both t's are using it, you can't take the one down with the d, and still use the other... easy test.. you'll probley see your t's are card 1 and card 2 in most 11's.. ld 60 disi 2, will disable the second t1, (card 2?) as the callers hang up, not just cutting then off like disl 2 would do...after the last call releases the t will disable... then test in and out...before making a move...
