question about auth-nxdomain yes; from BIND 9

hi

should I set

auth-nxdomain yes;

or

auth-nxdomain no;

at named.conf
from my internal DNS server
(DDNS with non internet public domain for WIN2000 clients)?

NX-DOMAIN means "domain doesn't exist". Its default setting is YES. Turning if off can cause problems with older software. If yes is set, the AA bit is always set on NXDOMAIN responses, even if the server is not actually authoritative. You should decide whats best for you but it shouldn't matter if you leave it alone.
