I would like to collect 2 dates:
Expr1: [Enter start of month date]
and
Expr2: [Enter end of month date]
and then compare these two fields to date fields in
other columns

When I simply put the criteria:
> [Expr1]
in the criteria for a table date field and run the query.
I am prompted for Expr1 and Expr2 good :)
but i am again prompted for expr1 due to the > [expr1] expression above.....HOw can I "pass" the 2 collected date fields to the criteria for other columns ?

Thanks for any help Bob Schmid

That's because Access thinks you're asking for 2 different things, [Enter start of month date] and [Expr1].

If you only want to be prompted once then make your parameters the same. On the criteria line enter [Enter start of month date]. (You can get rid of Expr1 and Expr2, unless you really need to display these fields on each record)
