Quarkxpress facing pages 1

I am learing Quarkxpress and going through various online tutorial i could find. I found one on the following website which was very good but the facing pages confused me. When i printed the booklet that i downloaded from this website, each page printed on a seperate page. I thought that page 2 and 3 would print on the same page. Please see the file and guide me.

Re-phrasing my question. Is there a way to print facing pages on the same sheet? I've got 5.5 x 8.5 pages that I want to print on single 8.5 x 11 sheets. So far, I only get pages on the left side on the sheets.

Under Print check spreads from the general tab.

I got the pages to print but i don't understand how this page layout will printout a book layout.

If someone can look at the tutorial on the following URL and eplain how this will binded. What i see is that there is page 2 and 3 on the same sheet. So how will the 4 and 5 pages be placed.

The tutorial is aimed at making a simple booklet consisting of US Letter sized pages folded in half. Each folded page will be placed into another folded page, then stapled — in other words, saddle stitched.

What i don't understand how will this be printed and binded to continue on to next page.

Also could you please guide how to print on both sides of the page.

Please eplain.
