Have a client of mine that when they inport an image in to quark or an image that is already in quark, if you move the image within a 1mm of the edge of the left hand side of the picture boxes quark freezes.

Have deleted prefs and rebult desktop and run Norton disk doctor.

Any one come accross it? If you can't fix it in 20 minutes call someone who can.

After all this talk of Quark crashing the only item I can add is this: get FontAgent 8.7.1 and have it reorganize ALL your fonts. You might consider installing a font management program and get those fonts out of the system folder -- even a PC! I believe it to be this issue. Try it then get back to me. I was having some problems with Quark (idiolsynchrocies [sp]) and Pagemaker on MAC OS9.2.1. Now I those problems went south. Try it -- what do you have to lose? Let freedom ring!

Figure it out yet? I had the exact same problem with client. I performed the following to no avail. Update the OS and Quark to their latest versions OS 9.2.2, Q 4.11, optomize system extensions, reset pram, rebuild desktop, reset quark preferences, scour the internet (including Quarks support website), etc, etc. I covered all the bases and nothing worked. I suggested my client give quark a call. She did. Within minutes of talking to quark support the phone tech determined that the ATI graphics card in her Titanium G4 PB was causing the instability. There is no know fix. It is possible that running OSX and/or upgrading to Quark 5 may remedy the issue. We have yet to find out. My advice, check the brand and model of video card and give quark support a phone call.
