Quark 6 and server problems

Has anyone had a problem with Snap Servers (or any other servers) when saving down to 5 from 6? We have only two copies of 6 at the moment (because Quark has made it so difficult to get hold of any of your validation codes, don't get me started! >:-<) and the rest are 5. The problems occur when we save down to 5 from 6 onto our Snap Server. When a 5 user tries to open dirrectly off the server nothing at all happens and if they copy the file from the server onto their desktop and then try to open it says something like &quot;can't open this version&quot;!

It all work as expected if the file is never saved onto the Snap server. If it is saved onto the desktop it opens fine and saved onto another server all is well! Argh... does anyone have any similar problems? (There is also a problem with saving Illustrator files onto the Snap Server but that's a different matter!)

I have a hunch it could be something to do with OSX, Quark and the Snap Server. We didn't have any problems with the Snap Server in OS9!

I've had a similiar problem in OS 9. 2 with Quark 4 to 5. When I saved the the file I de-selected the &quot;Include preview&quot; box and it worked fine. Have not had the same problem sine going to 6. Worth a try I guess. I do still have the same problem with Illustrator too. ???
