Ok this a little bugger.
I can't figure out why quark 4 & 5 seem to run slower than my 3.3. version did.
Zoomed out it's fast but when I zoom in
(200% or more) on a tiff image and use the content tool to move it within the frame, quark gets laggy. Using 'alt' to move the whole page doesn't resulit in any lag whatsoever.
Strange.
I like to work as fast and efficient as possible. In fact, Quark's speed is my main reason to stick with Quark for the time being since I find Indesign still too slow.
Anyway, when I was still working with Quark 3.3 I never had this 'problem' and I wonder why. Anyone else experienced this?
I've turned off the 'off screen draw' function in preferences which improved things a bit on tekst blocks, lines etc. but not on Tiff images. Eps is less laggy b.t.w.
Working on PC/Athlon 1333/512mb
Thx for any info.
