Hallo,

Would appreciate any info abou Qsignalling protocol, what is it, what used for, etc. etc. Thanks!

QSIG is a protocol for interconnecting PBX's from different vendors. (like DPNSS)
QSIG is based on ISDN with all kinds of PABX features like Calling Name presentation and Connected Name presentaion.
But also Path Replacement and Auto Call Back.

It is a standard like ISDN defined by ETSI, so a lot of the PABX manufaturing companies support QSIG, although not all support all features.

Avaya supports almost all of the defined features. Please let me know if the information that was provided is helpfull.

"Q-SIG (standard, ITU-T)
Signaling standard developed by the ECMA and based on the normalised CCITT signaling (Q.931). It is supposed to allow coherent exchanges between public and private signaling systems."
So it is a communication protocol used between switches, mainly of diffrent vendors.
Between Avaya switches DCS is mostly used, but DCS is proprietary.
