QOS for internet traffic???

I'd like to get some experience implementing QOS, but all the examples I've seen have to do with VOIP, which we don't have yet. I have a T1 between my main site and a remote site. Can I assign QOS to give higher priority based on an application, like I.E., or can I assign it based on a specific IP address (Source) and make up my own class-map?

Yes and Yes to both your questions.

Here is a link from Cisco that explains how to get LLQ (Low Latency Queuing) configured. LLQ is used predominantly in VOIP networks.
