Hi,

I am quite new to Solaris. I just installed a Qlogic HBA in a solaris 8 system. Followed the install instructions no porblem. Now I want to check if the system has recognized the HBA and its using its driver.

Where can I see this?

/var/adm/messages file once you have done a reconfiguration reboot.

ErantD;

prtdiag -v should show the card if recognized by the OS.
prtdiag is located under /usr/platform/sun4u/sbin

If you have drives hooked up then format will show the drives.

If you are familiar with the pathing of your system you can check /etc/path_to_inst to confirm the card is recognized.

Thanks

Just to expand on CA's post:

/usr/platform/`uname -m`/sbin/prtdiag -v

The `uname -m` will get the correct details is it isn't a sun4u platform. Note the ` are backticks, not apostrophes. HTH.

Tks Ken;

I was debating putting that, but I went against my better judgement.
