I get the PXE E61 Media Test Failure when i try to boot the Laptop.I already tried the following

1)Change the Boot order to Hard disk as the first in BIOS by pressing F2 while starting up the Laptop.
2)Removed the battery and re inserted it
3)Got a new Hard drive and replaced the old one with it.

I also noticed that in the BIOS it was not at all recognizing the hard disk, old as well as new

Despite all this the problem persists.

Please let me know what to do to fix this.

Thank you

that pxe thing...it's looking for something on the LAN to boot from because it doesn't recognize the hardrive. The real problem is the BIOS not recognizing the hardrive.

Well as i have mentioned i did try to set the Harddrive as the first boot device and it still seem to not recognize the Harddrive so does anyone know how i can make it recognize.

Kinda sounds like your controller is not enabled or damaged...

in the BIOS MAIN settings see if you can get it recognized. if not then it will need further repairs by a prof. or sold on eBay...
