Pull values from subreports to build chart in main report?

I am trying to build a chart in my main report that pulls values from several subreports.

Anybody have any ideas on how to go about this?

I am using Crystal 8.5.

The values that I am trying to pull from the subreports are all Formula Fields.

The subreports are not linked.


Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,
Sounds as if you will probably have runtime issues trying to do this, but to get your data from the subreports to the main report, you'd use shared variables.. then try and chart on your shared variable results.. if you cannot chart on these passed variables, a workaround is to use shared variables to pass the values to the main report then export the report to something like excell and use excell to chart on the data.

Hello Jim ,
The shared variables are indeed passed using formulas, but that is where the runtime issues may occur. Once you pass your values to the main report, open up your chart expert, if the formulas are not displayed then the alternative of using excell or other charting program would probably be the next step for me.

It appears I'll have to build the charts elsewhere. I was able to pass the shared variables between reports, but they do not appear in the chart expert.
