Out of the blue I started getting an error when I try to publish my apps. I get this signtool.exe error saying that I need version 2.1.0.1 of CAPICOM.dll. It says to copy this version of the dll into the directory where the signtool.exe file sits. I have done that and still unable to publish. The only thing I have done on this PC from when it worked till now is install HP's all-in-one printer software suite. I wanted to check with yall before I start uninstalling and reinstalling stuff.

OK, I was able to get it working again by reapplying SP1. I also contacted Microsoft and there support guy told me to re-register the CAPICOM.dll file.
Click Run and Type cmd
6, Type the following command to register CAPICOM.dll. Note: Make sure you type following command rather than just copy it.
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\CAPICOM\CapiCom.dll"
