Publishing my Sharepoint Site

We have a Small Business Server 2003 system with IIS 6.0 and sharepoint bundled.

I recently created a test site for sharepoint. How do I publish this site to the internet for my endusers to test?

I've published sites before but they've been sites I've created outside of sharepoint. So I'm a little miffed on how to separate the demo sharepoint site from the companyweb....

Aren't both companyweb and now my demo site, housed under the company web name? for example if I type companyweb/demo, then my demo site pops up. I don't see anything to suggest how I can forward my dynamic DNS url to companyweb/demo.

The demo site is part of the companyweb. Think of it as a subsite in the sql database.

Two suggestions
1.
Create a host header for companyweb for you dynamic DNS will fowared. IE yourwebsite.com
Then give users the link to yourwebsite.com/demo
But most likly you will have issues with permissions because I assume you don't want internet users to see your companyweb.

2. (and I currently have three sharepoint sites working this way)
Create a new folder in C:\inpub or wherever you want
In IIS create a new website mapped to that folder
Give it a host header
Run Sharepoint Center Admin
Create and extend content database to new site
Follow prompts to create site
When created open site it see if it works
In IIS go into the properties and allow anonymous access
Open the site again goto site settings--Site Admin--anonymous access--And allow anonymous access
Go to companyweb/demo
Site settings--Site Admin--Save site as template
Open new site create subsite demo again using new template
Now anonymous users can access yourwebsite.com then click on demo.

I did the first few steps you mentioned in 2.

how do I "Give it a host header" as you mentioned?

In IIS right click on the website
Properties
On the web site click Advanced
Click Add
Leave IP and All unassigned
TCP port 80
enter the DNS value you want for the site
Ok--Ok--Ok
