Publisher and Subcriber does not open 1

When I double click on a picture in Quark 6.0 to open the Publisher - the application in Photoshop or Illustrator doesn't lauch. I have to find the file manually and open it to make revisions. I'm on a G4 Mac and never had this problem with Quark 5.0. Is there something different in Quark 6.0? Thanks!

I use the extension Badia OpenNow 1.1 which I downloaded free from somewhere (sorry cant remember exact site I think it was Badiaxt.com) but it is a free extension and seems to work fine.

There is also a recognised extension from the quark website in downloads called Edit Original 6.0 which is great...
