Public folders

I have an Exchange 5.5 server. I have an address book in my public folders. I need to import data into that address book. Has anyone ever done this before or know how to do this. Thank you in advice to any help.

You can just copy it, as is .. drag it in there.

I am trying to import from CSV file.

When Using Outlook, go into that Contacts (public) folder and choose File - Import and Export - Import from another file or program and locate your CSV file.

I tried that but it doesn't give me an option for public folders. It will only allow my mailbox/personal folder.

You need the rights of course.
It does work, I just tried it to make sure.

This may be a stupid questions but were should the rights be. I have owner rights on the Public folder.

Sorry, stupid me. I did not complete the entire import on my test and it does not let you choose the Public Contact folder indeed.
What I did then was to go into my contacts, a new empty Contacts folder I created. I imported them in there.
I then went into that Contacts folder, selected all (Ctrl-A) and dragged them all over.
You could also right-click and choose Move to Folder.

Here is how I resolved my issue:
1. Imported my CSV into a address book in my Personal folder.
2. Copied and pasted into the Public folder.

I tried too import a PST into the public folders but it kept failing.
