Hi there
I have got myself into a pickle with my exhcange log files.
After moving a server and getting disk errors which we corrected we found we could not mount the Public Folders and received error c1041724.
We followed various possible solution re file permissions but non worked.
At the time the only backup was at year end and in the end that was better than nothing so we attempted to restore.
The restore went ok but we could still not mount store with same c1041724 error
eseutil ended in a dead end with either out of sync or non-contiguous files errors.
We found a more up-to-date (one month) backup and attempted that but still same problems.
I am now convinced that due to all the attempted fixes we have somehow messed up the log files and I am unable to find a solution to fixing them.
Therefore as we need to get the Public Folders available (even empty ones) again I am looking for the best way to achieve that.
I feel that it is going to be a full exchange re-install but I was wondering if there were a better way to create some new Public Folders.
Our exchange is run from a SBS 2000 server and there are no other exchange servers.
Any advice gratefully received
