How can I manually delete a Public Folder?

I cannot view the folder in my Admin program, it is present, but it is totally inaccessible. If I try to get the properties it responds with an error.

The information is not needed anymore, the folder is visible but not accessible or managable in any way.

I guess I am asking if I can delete this public folder at the server, manually??

You can do it through Outlook if you have the correct permissions.

I know this because I have accidentally done it. Ooops.

You CANNOT delete a public folder through Exchange Admin. If you can access the folder in Outlook, you can delete it there - if you have the correct permission. If you don't have the correct permissions, try right-clicking the folder and selecting 'properties'. If you can get into the properties and set permissions here, you're set! If you can't access the properties through Outlook or Exchange Admin, your stuck with the folder - unless you can find a user with Owner permissions.
