public folder smtp forward

maybe this has been covered but i cant find any info in search and im not 100% with 5.5

I have a public folder that has an smtp address hence emails can be sent to this folder from the GAL & outside. We want to have those emails be forwarded to a distribution list that is on GAL.

how could i establish this? thanks

Why not just send the email to the SMTP address of the DL instead?
