I migrated from Exchange 5.5 to 2000 recently. I did not take all the public folders over from the 5.5 box since alot of them were garbage. Now they are showing up in Outlook 2002 but if you click on them I get "Unable to display the folder. Microsoft Outlook could not access the specified folder location. The contents of this public folder are currently unavailable. Either the Microsoft Exchange Server computer servicing this public folder is down or the public folder has not been replicated to this site. See your administrator." I cannot get properties on them or anything and have recently turned my old 5.5 box into a completely different server. Is their anything I can do to remove these public folder instances from my Outlook clients.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are they not visible in the Exchange 2000 public folder store?

They do not show up anywhere in the Exchange 2000 Public Folder Store. The Exchange 5.5 server where they previously resided is gone. I don't even have a backup anymore.
