Public Folder meltdowns

We are running exchange 5.5 on WIN/2000. Since we have applied all the current patches, the main public folder server server is losing sight of the public folders. In one instance it was so bad, it lost all the rights and changed the internet address on all the folders. Others times, users can not access the folders, until the system is rebooted. This started after applying SP 4 and the latest security patches.
